When a post's status changes, we show you a dialog to whether you want to notify your users about the status update or not and to add a message to that status update which will be shared with your users via email and then added as a comment.

These notifications are specifically sent to users who have upvoted the relevant post, creating an efficient feedback loop between your team and stakeholders.

Key points about status notifications:

  • Notifications are sent only to users who upvoted the post

  • Admin team members do not receive these updates

  • Emails are triggered by status transitions (such as moving from "In Review" to "Planned")

This targeted communication system ensures users stay informed about features and requests they've expressed interest in, without creating unnecessary notification noise.
