How it works

User segments help you put users into groups based on rules you set. Then you can use these groups to sort feedback, control access to individual boards, and send the right changelog to the right people.

For example, you can make a "Paid Users" group by setting a rule that their monthly payment is more than $0. You can also add custom attributes about users to create groups that work for your business.

What you can do with user segments

1. Segment feedback

The most common way to use groups is to sort feedback. Add filters and pick one of your user groups to see only their feedback.

2. Segment board access

You can make feedback boards visible only to certain user segments. If you have different products, you can create separate boards that only the right users can see.

3. Segment roadmap access

You can show roadmaps only to specific user groups. This is helpful when you have different products and want separate roadmaps for each group of users.

4. Segment changelogs

You can send different changelog updates to different user groups. This way, people only see updates that matter to them.
